Requirements

To use PostgreSQL support, you need libpq (the PostgreSQL C client library). As of PHP 8.0.0, libpq 9.1 or later is required. As of PHP 8.4.0, libpq 10.0 or later is required. PostgreSQL supports many character encodings including multibyte character encoding.
